Locha-E-Ulfat is a fun song that will make you come on the dance floor whenever it gets played. The beauty of the song lies in its ability to turn rhythm into the star. Your guitar instructor for this song lesson is Ehsaan Noorani, who was one of the composers from the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. It’s a unique song to learn on guitar because it teaches you how to move to the next level of strumming. The infectious groove is not a piece of cake, but with this guitar song lesson, you will find out ways to lock in the beat and stay there. All your mistakes will be shown openly; there is no way you can hide them, making this song an excellent rhythm-training tool.

Why Learn Locha-Ulfat Song From 2 States On Guitar?

Locha-E-Ulfat thrives on muted strokes and syncopation. As you practice this song on guitar, you will learn how to control string muting, add percussive texture, and keep energy without playing it louder. All three of these skills are pretty important when it comes to modern acoustic playing.

The chords present in this song lesson are quite simple to master, but if you are playing them without inducing “feelings” to it, you are not honoring the composition. When you actually feel the song, that’s when your real growth happens.

You will be required to learn fast chord changes with rhythmic strumming; both of these demand coordination, and it can only be done when your fretting hand and strumming hand must move as one. With this guitar song lesson, you will be directly improving the overall playing of the song.

The music video shows the lead actors in beautiful international locations, adding to the song's dreamy feel. The composition mixes contemporary pop elements with light electronic beats, creating a sound that's both modern and timeless. Released as part of the film's soundtrack, Sau Aasmaan quickly became popular for its catchy tune and feel-good vibe, making it a favorite at weddings and romantic playlists.

Sau Aasmaan Guitar Lesson

Taught by Steve Luciano, this lesson covers how to play "Sau Aasmaan" on guitar. The song is in the key of F#/Gb major, which gives it a bright, uplifting sound. The main chords follow a I-V-vi-IV progression, a common pattern in pop music that makes the song easy to learn but effective.

The strumming pattern uses a steady down-down-up-up-down-up rhythm in 4/4 time. This pattern keeps the energy high while allowing the chords to ring clearly. The verse and chorus use the same chord progression, but the chorus adds more emphasis with fuller strums. The pre-chorus introduces a slight variation with a B-C#-F# movement that builds tension before releasing back to the main progression.

For the lead parts, the song uses the F# major scale (F#-G#-A#-B-C#-D#-E#). The melody moves mostly step-by-step through these notes, with occasional jumps that give it a playful quality. When playing the vocal lines on guitar, focus on smooth transitions between notes and add light vibrato to longer notes for expression.

Beginners should start by mastering the chord shapes and basic strumming pattern. The F# major chord can be challenging at first - try the 2-4-4-3-2-2 barre shape or simplify it to xx4322. Intermediate players can work on matching the vocal melody on guitar. Advanced players should focus on adding embellishments like hammer-ons and slides to make their playing more

expressive.

Sukoon Mila from Mary Kom is built on harmonical restrictions; it has major-minor transitions, which create a sense of longing and emotional release. In addition to this, the chord progression flows with lyrical sensitivity rather than shifting dramatically, making it one of the best songs that will teach students how to support the harmony of a song without having to overpower it. The intimacy for which the song is known comes from tonic and relative minor tonalities, which give the song its intimate and reflective character.

Strumming Pattern

The strumming pattern used for this song is pretty subtle; it is built around a 4/4 ballad groove. In order to make this song truly come alive, you should try fingerpicking techniques such as arpeggiated picking. By using them, you will be able to mimic the vulnerability of the vocal line.

The beginner-friendly strumming pattern is as follows: D – D U – U D U, at the count of 1 – 2 & – & 4 &.

The above-mentioned strumming pattern works wonderfully when you are able to keep your downstrokes slightly stronger and upstrokes a little lighter. To get a warmer tone, play this strumming pattern softly near the fretboard to create that warmer tone.

• D = Down Strum.
• U = Up Strum.

If you want something more than basic, you can go with this expressive pattern, which also makes your guitar sound close to the original: D – D U – (mute) U D U, at the count of 1 – 2 & – (3) – 4 &.

When you are playing this, add a very light palm mute on beat 3 to create a subtle breathing pause; this will also add emotional depth to your guitar play.

Pashmina – Introduction

Welcome to the guitar lesson on one of the most delicately composed love songs in Hindi cinema — Pashmina by Amit Trivedi, from the 2016 film Fitoor. The song is a soft, poetic track that floats between romance and melancholy, wrapped in layers of orchestration and Amit Trivedi's unique singing style. The film itself was an adaptation of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, and Pashmina works as a musical expression of the complex emotions in the story.

The word Pashmina refers to an extremely fine wool from Kashmir, and in the song, it becomes a metaphor for love — soft, rich, intricate, and fragile. The lyrics, written by Swanand Kirkire, are as layered as the melody, bringing out that sense of a love that can’t be held too tightly, or it will slip away. The song has been compared by some to western tracks like California by Phantom Planet, but Pashmina stands on its own because of the way it mixes classical Indian textures with modern songwriting.

Pashmina – Guitar Lesson

This is an easy acoustic version of Pashmina, taught by Mike Walker, with the goal of helping beginner players fall in love with the guitar just as much as they love the song. The version is played with a capo on the 5th fret, which raises the pitch to match the original recording, while keeping the chord shapes extremely simple and familiar.

The chords used are Am, D, Em, F, C, and G — all open chords, which means if you know your basics, you’ll be able to play this version comfortably. Mike goes over every chord change and voicing with clear instructions, making this lesson feel very hands-on.

The progression flows in a way that lets the emotional content of the song shine through. The use of Am and Em, both minor chords, gives the song a slightly wistful tone, while G and C open up the resolution at the right moments.

The chord changes follow the original mood of the track, but are simplified to make it more accessible. Even the F chord, which can be tricky for beginners, is demonstrated with alternate fingerings and techniques so that anyone can play it with enough practice.

The strumming pattern is relaxed and meant to match the fluid movement of the melody. There’s no pressure to play it fast — in fact, slowing it down helps bring out the beauty of the song. Mike also talks about how to let your fingers move smoothly between chords and how to make the transitions sound clean without breaking the rhythm. You’ll also learn how to use dynamics — like playing softer or louder — to really bring out the emotion in different sections of the song.
