Bobby Koelble

Experience: 30+ years
Bobby's passion for guitar was fueled when he began to commandeer his sister's guitar at every opportunity. In no time, he became passionate about metal. Off he went to Berklee to try to be like Al Di Meola but ended up a bit more like Wes Montgomery. After graduation, he was given the enormous honor to play alongside Chuck Schuldiner and Gene Hoglan, possibly resulting in Charlie Parker's licks being played in death metal tunes for the first time. Soon, he developed a passion for songwriting, too. He went on to form Junkie Rush and The Absinthe Trio and started working as a freelance live guitarist. Bobby has had the honor of teaching jazz guitar at Rollins College and the University of Central Florida. He has also given private lessons to hundreds of guitar students over the years and has always been dedicated to helping aspiring musicians. He enjoys reggae, as evident in his frequent collaborations with The Supervillains and The Goods. Currently, he plays guitar with the Dave Laure band, doing frequent tours in Orlando.
